Know The Ledge: The Prototypes Live, is a program in which young, talented musicians and vocalists are selected, inspired and guided by both House of Knowledge and the so-called 'masters'. These are international artists with a love for and expertise in Jazz, Soul, Funk and Hiphop, who have now become unforgettable entities in today’s music industry. Together with these masters, the repertoire of those who have been selected, is mixed with 'classics', also known as sampling - a key element of hip hop that emerged when producers started sampling funk and soul records in the 1980s.
Know The Ledge: The Prototypes Live is a collaborative initiative by both House of Knowledge and DJ Trauma. “The Prototypes” started as a repertoire that the DJ played for performances or as a set at various parties in his hometown, New York. This live version with House of Knowledge is a big dream come true!

Know The Ledge 2022 was in partnership with North Sea Round Town.
With Know The Ledge: The Awakening we celebrated Hip hop’s Jazz origin with Master TY and Jamal Peoples. This 2019 edition was created in partnership with LantarenVenster, North Sea Round Town, Roots & Routes, de Cultuurbuur, Music Matters en Grounds.
